Shubman Gill scores the highest in yo-yo test before Asia Cup

India youngster, Shubman Gill has recently passed his yo-yo test with flying colors and attained the highest score.

Gill is already a part of the 17-member Asia Cup squad and will also feature in the ODI World Cup squad.

Moreover, Gill passed his test with the highest-ever score for an Indian player which is 18.7.

As per reports, no Indian player could compete or break Gill’s fabulous score on this test.

This shows that not only Gill has the ability to score big runs with his bat, but he is also physically very fit.

His well-sculpted body is the result of the hours of hard work he puts in behind the scenes.

This is why only scoring big runs and taking a lot of wickets isn’t the only thing that is required in modern-day cricket. Fitness is also pretty important for players.

BCCI gives stern warning to players to stop sharing their yo-yo test scores

Meanwhile, former India skipper, Virat Kohli recently got embroiled in a small controversy after sharing his yo-yo score.

Previously, the yo-yo test wasn’t a mandatory one under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

However, when Kohli took over from Dhoni, he inspired a reign of fitness and made the yo-yo test mandatory.

Because of this, many of the top cricketers couldn’t pass the test and hence, lost their place in the team.

But, Kohli’s latest Instagram post didn’t sit well with the BCCI who then issued a stern warning to all the players about not disclosing their test scores.

According to the apex body, these scores are very confidential, and revealing them leads to a breach of contract.

On the other hand, India is all set to begin their campaign against Pakistan on the 2nd of September.
