As fans await the mouth-watering clash between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup, experts are finding it hard to predict the winner.

Recently, former India skipper and BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly has said that whoever plays well, will win the game on the 2nd of September.

Moreover, he has also said that both teams are equally strong at the moment and thus it is quite difficult to say who will win.

Looking back at India-Pakistan clashes, then Pakistan has proved to be a real danger to India.

Moreover, India’s top order has faced some issues while facing Shaheen Shah Afridi and this will be quite a contest to watch out for.

In the last edition of the T20 World Cup, India got the better of Pakistan as Virat Kohli got the better of the Pakistani bowlers and will look to repeat his performance.

Therefore, Ganguly is expecting a very high-octane clash between these two sides.

It would be tough for me to name a favourite to win the match. Both the teams are really good. Pakistan have a good team, India too are really solid. Whoever plays well will win, I don’t think there’s anyone favourite as such. Whoever plays well will emerge victorious.

Ganguly backs the selection of Axar Patel for Asia Cup

Moreover, talking about the Asia Cup squad, Ganguly stated that the selectors have done the right thing in picking Axar Patel.

Previously, there was a lot of controversy regarding the axing of Yuzvendra Chahal and picking Axar Patel in place of him.

Actually, the skill sets of Ravindra Jadeja and Axar are pretty much similar which is why fans expressed their disappointment.

But, Ganguly has backed the decision of the selectors and stated that Axar is a better batter than Chahal.

You can only have three spinners and I think they have done the right thing by picking Axar (Patel), he can bat.
