Harbhajan Singh suggests a change in the squad for India vs England game. India will encounter England on October 29 at Ekana Sports City, Lucknow.

INDIA VS ENGLAND: ASHWIN’S COMEBACK

After the severe injury of Hardik Pandya, the Indian cricket team is in a dilemma of who to choose to play against England. There are discussions around Ashwin’s comeback in the game. Amidst all these, former cricketer turned cricketer Harbhajan Singh suggested a change. On his YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh said that he would prefer Ashwin in the next game. He suggested the trio of Ashwin, Jadeja, and Kuldeep, recommending England might not play spin well. He further proposed that the Indian team could bench Mohammed Siraj.

“Kuldeep Yadav’s form has been good, but I wonder if we will get to see three spinners play in the next game – Kuldeep, (Ravindra) Jadeja, and Ashwin. It could be a possibility since England do not play spin well”

“As it is, England are not playing well in the World Cup, and if the ball starts spinning, I don’t think they will be able to do much better. Playing three spinners might not be a bad option. Siraj can be rested. He has played back-to-back games. Shami has just come into the playing XI and has claimed a five-fer. If a pitch is a normal one and is not expected to offer a lot of turn, then I do not see too many changes in the team”

The Indian team is currently posing in the top fours of the table, winning five games straight. Starting from Australia, India has trashed Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Recently, India defeated New Zealand on October 22 by four wickets. Moreover, the IND vs NZ game was a big hit as India broke the 20-year curse to defeat NZ in an ICC event.
