English cricketer Michael Vaughan lauds Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma for his brilliant knock in the ENG vs IND. Rohit Sharma scored 87 off 101 deliveries.

Rohit Sharma’s outstanding effort, which included both captaining the India side and winning Player of the Match. Moreover, his remarkable 87 off 101 balls was mainly responsible for the victory. His innings, which included three sixes and ten fours, was crucial to India’s victory by 100 runs. Former England captain Michael Vaughan praised Rohit Sharma’s innings against England. He said that India was under pressure and in a vulnerable position at 30/3. The base was laid by the captain. Skipper Rohit and KL Rahul got together. Speaking to Cricbuzz, Michael Vaughan said that,

“The captain set the foundation. India were in a precarious position at 30 for 3 and were under pressure. He got together with KL Rahul. Rohit’s mindset is to be aggressive, be positive, try and hit the boundaries, but he realised that he had to hang in there and play at a Test match tempo with Rahul.”

Furthermore, talking about ENG vs IND, Michael Vaughan said Rohit Sharma was constantly aware that he could locate the limit in the back of his mind. Moreover, he said that he hit a lovely shot off Liam Livingstone. Vaughan also said that because of the Indian team was a little bit under pressure, it was a great captain’s knock. Michael Vaughan further added,

“He always had that at the back of his mind that he could find the boundary. He played a beautiful shot off Liam Livingstone, who just spun one earlier. So, he always had that boundary option in him but it was a wonderful captain’s knock because his team was under a little bit of pressure.”
