Travis Head, Maxwell & Zampa Included; Here’s Australia’s Playing XI For 2nd T20I vs India

Pat Cummins

Australia and India will square off in the second Twenty20 International of the current five-match series on Sunday. Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium will host the high-stakes match.

Australia s T20I series got off to a disastrous start. They lost the opening match in Visakhapatnam by two wickets. Even though Josh Inglis scored an incredible century to lead them to a formidable 208 runs. They were unable to hold on as Suryakumar Yadav’s explosive fifty saw India through.

The Australians were greatly disappointed with Matthew Short, who was bowled out for 13 runs by Ravi Bishnoi. Therefore, Australia may consider substituting Travis Head. Who had a brilliant knock in the crucial World Cup final against the same team.

Aus vs India 2nd T20I:Travis Head, Maxwell & Zampa Included

In the first Twenty20 International after the World Cup, Australia rested David Warner, Adam Zampa, and Glenn Maxwell as well. But because this is such a big game, the Australians will probably start Maxwell and Zampa instead of Aaron Hardie and Tanveer Sangha.

In the first game, Hardie did not bowl or bat, but Sangha took two wickets in his four overs while giving up 47 runs.

Nonetheless, David Warner might still warm the bench because Australia will probably give Steve Smith a lot of leeway as the T20I opener.

Meanwhile, despite their underwhelming performance in the first game, Sean Abbott and Nathan Ellis will likely be retained in the playing XI.
