Even if the captain of team India, Rohit Sharma, suffered loss in World Cup, there is still a lot of respect for him. Following India’s defeat to Australia in the World Cup, PM Narendra Modi gave the team a pep talk in the Indian dressing room. Indian cricket players were comforted by PM Modi. PM Modi extended the Indian squad his support. In a video that has gone viral, supporters at the stadium can be seen enthusiastically applauding captain Rohit Sharma. The finale between Australia and India was at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After the much-awaited clash, supporters in the stadium began loudly screaming Rohit’s name. Moreover, the fans screamed Rohit Sharma’s name as he made his way to the changing room.

Supporters sending supportive comments on X (formerly known as Twitter), the posts are going viral. While one X user said “God. Just give this man power to come back stronger. I can’t see him crying. You have to fulfill your dream, Hitman. You have to play till 2027. Leave IPL or whatever but You have to do that” another fan said that “When you have a true heart people will be there with you always during your highs and lows, such a great player and human being.”

Furthermore, one fan said, “This crowd, really this hurts me more than losing the match. Pls support every player of the team.”

After the loss in the finale of the World Cup 2023, Rohit Sharma said that, “The result has not gone our way. We were not good enough today. We tried everything but it wasn’t supposed to be. 20-30 runs more would have been good, KL and Kohli were stitching a good partnership and we were looking at 270-280 but we kept losing wickets”
