ICC takes significant action amidst pitch dispute in Narendra Modi Stadium before IND vs AUS World Cup final. Cricket fans wish for India to lift their 3rd ODI World Cup trophy.

IND VS AUS FINAL PITCH

In advance of Sunday’s IND vs AUS World Cup 2023 final, ICC will stick with Andy Atkinson as their pitch consultant. There were several talking points from the World Cup semifinal pitch incident. For the India vs New Zealand semifinal at Wankhede Stadium, BCCI was accused of altering the field. Andy Atkinson was the one who accused BCCI of changing the pitch. However, the ICC subsequently said that a knockout mat does not need the use of a new pitch. Andy Atkinson’s job has been under question ever since because he upset the BCCI’s senior echelon. In the midst of all, some are claiming that Atkinson arrived in Ahmedabad on Friday. Furthermore, He would be visiting the pitch on Saturday. An ICC source spoke to PTI under anonymity and said,

“Andy hasn’t gone back home. He has come with the ICC delegation and hence didn’t come to the ground. He will be available tomorrow (Saturday) to check on the preparation of the track”

The Narendra Modi Stadium’s pitch was examined on Friday by two BCCI pitch officials. In addition, the organization’s domestic general manager, Abey Kuruvilla, was also present. All three of them kept a tight eye on the pitch’s preparations. However, it’s unclear if a new deck would be utilized for the IND vs AUS final.

It is the fourth time India has advanced into the ODI World Cup finals. 1983, 2003, and 2011 were the years India encountered in the ODI World Cup final. In the three years of finale participation, India won in 1983 and 2011. Moreover, Talking of IND vs AUS, Australia defeated India in the 2003 WC.
