After a fantastic 8th win in the Asia Cup, India has boosted their ODI team rankings in the ICC charts.

They now sit in 2nd place with 115 points as Pakistan still claims the numero uno spot with the same ranking points.

In the final of the Asia Cup, India took the wind out of Sri Lanka and got a well-deserved 10-wicket victory over the Lankan Lions.

On the other hand, Pakistan who went down in the dumps in the Super 4 stage, reclaimed their No 1 spot after Australia lost to South Africa in their ODI series.

Talking about Australia, the team had a poor outing against hosts South Africa in the 5-match ODI series which now sees them in the 3rd spot in the ODI team rankings.

After winning the first two games in good fashion, Australia was pushed back by South Africa as they bounced back and won the series 3-2.

Apparently, this is also South Africa’s last ODI assignment after which they start preparations for the World Cup.

Just a few days back, Australia was the No. 1 ODI team and India was in 3rd place. However, after clean-sweeping Afghanistan at home, Pakistan claimed the top spot.

But it was Australia once again at the 1st spot after Pakistan lost games against India and Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup.

Rohit Sharma and Fakhar Zaman see changes in batter rankings

Talking about the ODI batting rankings, India skipper, Rohit Sharma has improved his rank by one spot in the batter’s charts.

After concluding the Asia Cup with 194 runs including 3 half-centuries and an average of 48.50, Rohit is now 9th in the charts.

However, Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman had to sacrifice his position at 9th after a poor outing in the Asia Cup.

He scored only 65 runs in five games and had a poor average of 16.25 which now sees him sitting in 10th place. He has now got 705 in the batter’s rankings.
