ENG-W VS IND-W

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released information on a significant change for the one-off Test match against India. Emma Lamb, a wicket-batter batter, is out of the team due to an injury. Therefore, England added a potent batter to their lineup. The removal of Lamb from the team disrupted England’s preparations for the one-off Test match against India. According to an official report from the ECB, the statement was made. Due to a back problem, the Lancashire cricket player was obliged to return to the UK. Moreover, she will now see a spinal specialist to decide what to do next.

England added Maia Bounchier, a potent batter, to the Test team to cover for Lamb. Middlesex native Bouchier has not yet played in a Test match. However, she has experience thanks to her participation in the three Women’s ODIs and T20Is. The cricketer, who was born in Kensington, has 112 and 205 runs in the different forms.

Moreover, for the Test series against India, England has added Kirstie Gordon to further strengthen the team. Gordon, who recently played for England Women A versus India A in the T20 series, was a major contributor to the visitor’s 2-1 triumph. A media release from ECB said,

“Emma Lamb has been withdrawn from the England Women Test squad to play India due to a back problem. Lamb has returned home to the UK where she will see a spinal surgeon to determine next steps. “Maia Bouchier has been called up as a replacement to the Test squad while Kirstie Gordon has also been added to Heather Knight’s Test squad. Gordon represented England Women A in their 2-1 IT20 series victory over India A last week and has remained in Mumbai”
