DEVDUTT PADIKKAL IN LSG

Irfan Pathan praises the transfer of hitter Devdutt Padikkal to the Lucknow Super Giants for the IPL 2024. The former Indian star player Irfan Pathan thinks Devdutt’s switch to LSG for the IPL 2024 is excellent. While Padikkal was acquired by the Lucknow franchise, Avesh Khan went to the Rajasthan Royals. There was a double transfer dealing between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants.

With five straight 50-plus runs in the current Vijay Hazare Trophy, Devdutt Padikkal has been in top-class form. His scores include 114, 93, 70, 117, and 71 in the competition. Padikkal has smashed 465 runs in five games. Following Padikkal’s transfer to LSG, Irfan Pathan said that he is a great choice for the franchise. In addition, he emphasized that they now require domestic players as a backup rather than the frontline playing XI players. While speaking on Star Sports, Irfan Pathan said,

“There will actually be a lot of work done by their scouts because they have taken out a lot of domestic players. So domestic matches become very important. So they must have identified players whom they want to get from domestic matches. Apart from that, it’s pretty sorted. I think Devdutt Padikkal’s move is fantastic. So what they need to do is to get good domestic cricketers as a backup, not the frontline playing XI players.” Devdutt Padikkal on his transfer to LSG said that,

“First of all, I would like to say thank you to the management at the Lucknow Super Giants for giving me this opportunity to represent their franchise. I’m really looking forward to playing under KL and his guidance and I always enjoyed batting with him as well. So, I am looking forward to it again.”
