Rohit Sharma refuses to answer journalist’s question on boundary count

Today, before the start of the ODI World Cup 2023, all 10 captains were present to give a joint press conference.

Former cricketers, Ravi Shastri and Eoin Morgan were the hosts of this press conference.

They opened the floor to the journalists after their discussions with the skippers.

Meanwhile, one of the journalists asked India skipper, Rohit Sharma for his thoughts on the boundary count decision.

Apparently, this was the same method that was applied during the final of the 2019 ODI World Cup final.

However, Rohit, in his usual self, laughed off the question and stated that he has no right to declare winners.

Moreover, Jos Buttler who was a member of the 2019 World Cup seemed confused by the question and asked Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam to translate it for him.

Also, it was seen that Babar also enjoyed the funny banter between Rohit and the journalist as he was seen laughing at Rohit’s response.

Kya yaar.. kuch bhi.. This is not my work. It’s not my job to announce the winners.

Rohit says that he’s quite a lucky skipper to be leading the current Indian setup

Apparently, the last three editions of the World Cup have been won by host nations and India will look to repeat its 2011 feat once again.

Meanwhile, Rohit stated that he is not delving too much into the past and just wants to enjoy the present moment and enjoy the long tournament.

I’m quite lucky to be leading this team. Not thinking too much about it. Honestly, it has happened in the last three editions of the World Cup. All I can say is that we will give our best and enjoy the tournament. That’s all I can say as it’s a long tournament and you can’t get too ahead of yourself.

Furthermore, India will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium on the 8th of October.
