IND vs AUS: David Warner bats right-handed against R Ashwin

Veteran Australia batter David Warner seen batting right-handed in India’s second ODI against Australia in Indore. In the second ODI between India-Australia, the Aussies were given a mammoth target of 400 runs. To counter Ravichandran Ashwin’s treat David Warner was seeing batting as right-handed batter.

Chasing the target, Australia didn’t had the best of start. They lost Matthew Short and Steve Smith in back-to-back deliveries. After which Warner and Labuschange formed a partner-ship. However, this is not the first time David Warner has done this, he had done this in the past as well. However, it was a thing of laugh for the Australian team and he also managed to sweep Ashwin for a boundary as well.

Eventually, Warner after scoring a well made half-century, fall prey to R. Ashwin’s trap. The off-spinner got him lbw while he was trying to reverse-sweep the bowler. Warner and Ashwin share a long lasting rivalry, as the bowler as got the better of batter multiple time in the past.

It was a rather memorable performance by Ashwin as he pick 3 wickets for 41 runs. This has solidified his name for the World Cup squad as the injury to Axar Patel still remains a mystery.

Apart from Ashwin, Gill and Shreyas Iyer scored excellent centuries and showcased their tremendous form ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023. In the end Suryakumar Yadav also showed glimpses of his 360 degree stroke play. He scored 72 runs in just 37 balls.

All in all its looking pretty good for India ahead of the World Cup. Form and fitness of the players are peaking at the right time. All the fans hope that it stays like this and the men in blue can replicate the heroics of 2011 once again.
