England Lions squad announced to play Test against India A in Ahmedabad. In addition, Narendra Modi Stadium will host the series.

ENGLAND LIONS VS INDIA A

Early in January, a 15-man England Lions team will depart for India to begin a red-ball tour. The tour will last a month, coinciding with the beginning of England’s five-match Test series. Josh Bohannon, a batter from Lancashire, will captain the team. Previously, he was leading the County Championship Division One run-scoring last summer with 1257 with an average of 59.68. In addition, he smashed four hundreds.
Throughout the whole tour, the Lions will have their headquarters in Ahmedabad. They will take on India A in three four-day games in the Narendra Modi Stadium. Moreover, a two-warm-up match versus India A will kick off the journey. In addition, England Men’s performance Director, Mo Bobat said that,

“Playing a series in India at any level is a challenge to get excited about, it’s one of the truest tests for any cricketer. It’s great that our Lions team can experience that challenge and have the opportunity to showcase their skills in those conditions. he further added,

“The squad has a strong core of players in it that were out in Abu Dhabi recently for the training camp, with some of those players already selected into the Test squad. There’s also a return for some more experienced players which aligns with supporting England’s more immediate needs.”
