Recently, Yuvraj Singh, on a podcast, commented on Virat Kohli bearing a resemblance to Cristiano Ronaldo. Virat Kohli has mentioned several times about his admiration towards Cristiano Ronaldo.
YUVRAJ SINGH ON VIRAT KOHLI
Yuvraj Singh recently made his appearance on the TRS podcast. The interviewer had asked Yuvraj Singh whether Virat Kohli is an amazing footballer. While answering the question, the former star all-rounder had a witty reply. Following the question, Yuvraj Singh, on this query regarding Kohli, commented that he believes he is Cristiano Ronaldo, whereas in reality, he is not. Yuvraj Singh on TRS podcast said,
“Meri aur Virat ki bahut badi ladai hui hai football mein, meri [Ashish] Nehra ke saath bahut badi ladai hui hai football mein, Viru [Sehwag] ke saath, toh vo ho jaata hai. [Me and Virat have fought during football. I have also had fights with Nehra and Sehwag]” he further added,
“Usko (Virat Kohli) lagta hai. Hai skilll, par mere andar usse jyada hai. Vo faadu batsman hai, footballer mai better hoon. He thinks he is Cristiano Ronaldo, but he is not. In his cricket, he is (Cristiano Ronaldo). [Kohli thinks he is a very good footballer. He has skills, but I am better than him in football]”
Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli have both shared the pitch in India in the past. The star all-rounder Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement from International cricket in 2019. Kohli is still a member of the Indian team. They are both renowned cricket players, but they are also skilled football players. However, Yuvraj Singh believes he is superior to Kohli in that regard.
BOND BETWEEN THEM
Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli appear to have a close relationship and frequently send one another birthday wishes on social media. However, Yuvraj disclosed that because Kohli is so busy, he doesn’t bother him.
In the interview, Yuvraj Singh disclosed his relationship with Kohli. Talking about his bond with Kohli he added, “Not really. I don’t disturb him as he is busy. Young Virat Kohli’s name was Cheeku. Today’s Cheeku is Virat Kohli, there’s a big difference”
