MOHAMMED SHAMI’S WIFE COMMENTS ON HIS CWC23 PERFORMANCE
Hardik Pandya’s injury created a sense of worry for the Indian cricket team. However, Mohammed Shami’s entry to the team after Hardik’s unfortunate farewell has been favorable for the squad. Mohammed Shami has been exceptional for the Indian team in the World Cup. In the meantime, in an interview, Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife commented on his performance. In an interview with News Nation, Mohammed Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan said that,
“I don’t watch cricket, nor am I a fan of cricketers. I don’t understand the game hence I’m unaware of his performance. If he’s performing well and playing well it will help him to seal his place in the team and will also help him earn more which will secure our future. So, there’s nothing better than that”
Mohammed Shami’s wife, Hasin Jahan further added that,
“I will surely give best wishes to team India but not him”
From being sidelined for four matches in the initial stages of the World Cup 2023, Mohammed Shami’s first appearance was in IND vs NZ. In his first impression against New Zealand, he took five wickets, offering 54 runs in ten overs. Moreover, Shami was the Player of the Match in the game. In the second game against England, Shami grabbed four wickets, giving 22 runs in seven overs. He has been unstoppable in the tournament, executing his skillful bowling. Shami has been delivering his best bowling figures in the contest. While against Sri Lanka, his bowling figures were 5/18 in five overs against South Africa, it was 2/18 in four overs. Mohammed Shami has collected total 16 wickets in the tournament with an avg of 7 and an economy of 4.30.
