VIRAT KOHLI TRAINING IN NETS BEFORE IND VS. AUS

India to begin their World Cup journey encountering five-time champions Australia. Virat Kohli, the run machine for the Indian cricket team ahead of India’s World Cup opening match, was seen sweating it out in the net session. Kohli made his return to the training sessions after taking a short break. Virat started off his training with regular throw-ins. Moreover, the 34-year-old involved himself in comprehensive training to refine his adeptness. The usual training spell of two hours was extended by 45 minutes.

Team India already missed the opportunity to play two warm-up games due to rain washing away the matches. The two warm-up games were against England and Netherlands. While the warm-up match against England in Guwahati got washed away after the toss, the game against Netherlands in Thiruvananthapuram was abandoned without a single ball bowled.

However, in recent times, India faced Australia in the three-match ODI series held in India. India concurred with the victory against Australia by 2-1. Although Virat Kohli wasn’t part of the first two matches of the ODI series, he was part of the squad in the third match. Virat scored 56 off 61 balls. Moreover, his score includes five fours and a maximum.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav were also practicing, with Virat Kohli in the net session. While the players were sweating it out in the net session, skipper Rohit Sharma was missing from the training. Rohit Sharma’s absence was because of his formality as a captain to attend the Captains‘ event in Ahmedabad.
