The famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will once again take center stage. As it hosts an intriguing match between the Australian women s cricket team and the Indian women’s cricket squad.

This one-off Test match, which is set for December 2023, will be a thrilling all-format tour stop. This will include both sides competing at a variety of Mumbai venues. A three-match ODI series will take place at the Wankhede Stadium in addition to the Test match. That will give the cricket fans plenty of thrilling action.

The upcoming Test is particularly significant since it brings women s Test cricket back to India after an almost a ten-year absence. In November 2014, India hosted South Africa in Mysore for the final women’s Test match. The Wankhede Stadium, meanwhile, brings back fond memories for the Australian women’s team. Because it was here that they played their final Test match on Indian soil in 1984.

In women’s cricket, the idea of an all-format series has become more popular. Evoking the intensely contested Ashes series when teams fight in several formats with a combined scoreline. The popularity of such a series has made it possible for more thrilling matches in the women’s game. The enthralling match between India and Australia during their all-format trip in 2021 will be remembered by fans with good memories.

Despite the exciting tie in the one-off pink ball Test, which the Women in Yellow won with an 11-5 score, the crowd was still clamoring for more thrilling cricket action. The fact that the Wankhede Stadium is currently hosting the 2023 ODI World Cup highlights the fact that it is a legendary cricket venue.

This prestigious venue will host both of the semi-final games. And also India’s match versus Sri Lanka during the league stage, adding to its long history of hosting cricket matches.
