Bumrah is ready to play Pakistan on his home field.

Jasprit Bumrah

It’s almost time for the eagerly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and Bumrah is ready to play Pakistan on his home field. The two Asian powerhouses will square off on Saturday, October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams have started preparing for the crucial match. Several players from each side will be expected to lead their teams to victory.

Jasprit reveals his game plan

Being the head of the pace attack, Bumrah will be one of the crucial players for India. He recently took up four wickets against Afghanistan, and he’ll be hoping to repeat that feat against Pakistan. The Indian speedster discussed his game plan for the big match between the arch-rivals ahead of it, adding that he only concentrates on his preparation and doesn’t bother about outside circumstances.

I just go with my preparation, I go with the process that I feel is right to read the wickets and try to find the best answers that work on that wickets. As simple as that I’m not thinking about the results. So, I like on that day what I have to do. I look at my preparations and I am a little detached person. Obviously, reading the game and my strengths that’s what has worked for me in the past as well. Keeping all of those things in mind, will keep going forward” Said Bumrah on Follow the Blues show on Star Sports.

The environment will be exciting: Bumrah

“Yes, playing at home certainly means I haven’t played a One-Day International there, but I have in a test match. Consequently, the environment will be thrilling. The match will be a sight to behold since I have no doubt that many people will attend. So, sure, I’m also praying for the best over there,” he continued.

Notably, India missed Bumrah greatly in the finals of the World Test Championship in 2023 and the T20 World Cup in 2022. As a result, the fast bowler will be motivated to provide an outstanding performance in the upcoming match in order to have an impact on the game.
