IND VS SA TEST SERIES 2023

On Friday, December 15, 2023, Rohit Sharma departed for the IND vs SA Test series beginning December 26. The 36-year-old is returning to the national squad about a month after the WC loss. The Indian side captained by Rohit Sharma faced defeat by Cummins’s Australia in the World Cup finale at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India is currently contesting against South Africa in the white-ball cricket. However, India’s current white-ball series does not include Rohit Sharma. The T20 series was under the captaincy of Surya Kumar Yadav. In addition, for the ODI series against South Africa, the skipper of India is KL Rahul.

Furthermore, Rohit Sharma will lead the Test squad for the series, which will begin on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. The first Test will be at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Earlier, Rohit Sharma spoke candidly about India’s devastating loss in the World Cup 2023. In front of the enthusiastic crowd in Ahmedabad, he said,

“I had no idea how to come back from this. I had no clue what to do. My family and friends kept me going, and kept things pretty light around me, which was quite helpful. It was not easy to digest, but life moves on, and you have to move on. Honestly, it was tough, and it was not so easy to move on” Rohit Sharma further added,

“I have always grown up watching the 50-over World Cup. To me, that was the ultimate prize. We have worked all these years for that World Cup. And it’s disappointing if you don’t get through it, you don’t get what you want. You get disappointed. You get frustrated as well”
