AFG vs ENG: Crowd chants “Naveen bhai” at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi

The crowd at Arun Jaitley Stadium chants “Naveen Bhai, Naveen Bhai” during the AFG vs ENG match. Seems like it’s the Virat Kohli impact that has changed the crowd’s behavior.

Afghanistan’s cricketer Naveen-ul-Haq got involved in a nasty fight with Virat Kohli during the Ipl 2023 season. Moreover, the two were inseparably participating in an endless fight kind of situation. The fight that started from the pitch was up until the game was over.

Apart from Naveen-ul-Haq, the other team members of the Lucknow Super Giants were also opposing Virat Kohli. Moreover, the Lucknow Super Giants mentor, Gautam Gambhir, had a war of words with the RCB’s ex-captain. The fight between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli freshened up the recollections of their ugly fight in the Ipl 2013 edition.

After the ugly fight, Naveen-ul-Haq seemingly took digs at Virat Kohli through his Instagram stories. Thus, Naveen-ul-Haq was the target of Virat’s fans, who used to troll him. However, Virat and Naveen patched up during the IND vs AFG game of the World Cup 2023. Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq fixed their tussle by exchanging a side hug and a thumbs up by Virat. Moreover, Naveen told news agency PTI after the game that,

“Crowd will chant for their home cricketers and that is what they did. It is his (Kohli’s) home ground. He is a nice guy, a good player and we shook hands,” he further added,

“It (what happened) was always in the ground, it was nothing outside the ground. People make it big. They need that stuff for their followers. He said ‘we are done with that and I said yes we are done with that’. We shook hands and hugged.”

During the AFG vs ENG game on October 11 the crowd chanted “Naveen Bhai, Naveen Bhai”. In reply, the cricketer smiled at the crowd giving them a thumbs up.
