He praised the opener for starting up when he should have and for displaying consistency for a while. Notably, Warner had scored two straight half-centuries for Australia against India in the just-completed ODI series.

“Dave’s been fantastic in the last month, particularly in white-ball cricket. Not only is he scoring runs, he is being aggressive. He is taking the game on and getting the innings off to a good start. So, I’m expecting a great tournament from warner. He has been consistent, and I am loving the way he is going about it“. Cummins stated as per India Today.

The ODI World Cup 2023 opening between Australia and Team India will be played on Sunday, October 8 in Chennai. According to Pat Cummins, his team has been practicing spin bowling frequently while considering the circumstances in India. Additionally, Australia in an ODI series against India, which they defeated by a score of 2-1.

Cummins claims that his hitters have already developed strategies for dealing with spin bowlers, though“Our preparation starts with training for the next few days before the game. The Australian guys play a lot of spin. Out batting order had played a lot in India, so they know most of the (Indian) bowlers and they have a plan in place”. Cummins stated.
