Aussie skipper, Pat Cummins has recently stated that his team has a well-set plan against Indian bowlers in their upcoming game at Chennai.

Currently, both teams are sweating it out at Chennai and will look to put up a great performance against each other on the 8th of October.

Cummins says that Australia has played Indian spinners well in the past and has a fairly good knowledge of each one of them.

Additionally, he also stated that the win in the last ODI at Rajkot was quite a morale-boosting one for them.

It (preparation) starts with training for the next few days before the game. The Australian guys play a lot of spin. Our batting order had played a lot in India and done well, so they know most of the (Indian) bowlers and they have a plan (in place). We are really confident. We had a good win in the third ODI (in Rajkot), which is probably a bit closest to our strongest XI. We have had pretty good records in ODIs in India.

Cummins is hoping for a good tournament for David Warner

On the other hand, Cummins also showered praise for senior batter, David Warner and is expecting him to play a good tournament for them.

In the recent 3-match ODI series against India, Warner scored three consecutive fifties which is quite morale-boosting for him.

Moreover, Cummins says that his team is all set to take part in the big-ticket event.

Dave’s (Warner) been fantastic in the last month, particularly in white-ball cricket. Not only is he scoring runs, he is being aggressive. He is taking the game on and getting the innings off to a great start. So, I’m expecting a great tournament from Dave. He has been consistent, and I am loving the way he is going about it.

Adding further, he says,

Feels like a second home (in India). Preparations have been really good, with five ODIs in South Africa and three against India. Feels like we have got enough games for our playing XI and the bench as well.
