The Australia series is merely a chance for Ravi Ashwin: Rahul Dravid

R. Ashwin

Few names in cricket have the same profound resonance as Ravichandran Ashwin. He is a remarkable cricketer because of his outstanding abilities with the bat and the ball on the field. In a recent ODI match against Australia, Ashwin triumphantly rejoined India’s team and displayed his all-around talent.

Ashwin’s awesome performance

Ashwin demonstrated his capability during the match by pitching a tight spell of 10 overs. In 10 overs he allows just 47 runs while also taking a critical wicket. But it was his post-game gesture that won him the hearts of the crowd. The experienced all-rounder showed his dedication to developing his game by choosing to bat in the nets despite not having the opportunity to bat in the opening ODI against the Australians.

It is impossible to exaggerate the importance of all-rounders to the Indian cricket squad. A strong batting lineup has been promoted by the team administration and selectors. With his Test centuries under his belt, Ashwin seeks to demonstrate his abilities as a fearsome hitter as well as a bowler.

Rahul on the inclusion of Ashwin in the ODI squad

Rahul Dravid, the head coach of India, explained why Ashwin was chosen for the ODI team. Saying,”Someone like Ravichandran Ashwin provides experience and also contributes with the bat at No. 8. This series is no trial for Ashwin; this is just an opportunity for him in this format,” as quoted by NDTV. Dravid’s words underline the confidence the team has in Ashwin’s abilities.

KL Rahul expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance

KL Rahul, the captain of India, acknowledged his happiness with the team’s performance in the first ODI . After they successfully chased down a goal of 277 runs with five wickets remaining.
