World Cup finalists: Jacques Kallis, Waqar, Chawla, Steyn pick Ind & Eng

Jacques Kallis, Dale Steyn, Piyush Chawla, and Waqar Younis picked England and India as finalists for the ODI World Cup 2023. While Dinesh Karthik, Murali Karthik, and Chris Gayle anticipate India facing off Pakistan in the finale.

ODI WORLD CUP FINALISTS

While the ODI World Cup 2023 is just around the corner, experts have already chosen their favorites to encounter in the finale. Former cricketing legends Jacques Kallis, Piyush Chawla, Dale Steyn, and Waqar Younis have picked India and England to contest as finalists of World Cup 2023.

India is now at the top of Men’s ODI team rankings. Hence, everyone desires India to be one of the World Cup finalists. Indian team is currently in great form and has recently won the Asia Cup title. In addition, India has also defeated Australia in the recent three-match ODI series held in India. Therefore, the Indian team is among the strongest to contend in the soon-commencing ODI World Cup 2023.

On the other hand, the defending champions, England, is looked upon as one of the most dangerous teams to compete. England’s side performance in the Ashes series 2023 was commendable. India and England will play against each other on October 29 for the league stage at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

However, Chris Gayle, Dinesh Karthik, and Murali Karthik are expecting long-standing rivals India and Pakistan as World Cup finalists. India and Pakistan will play against each other for the league stage on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

ENG VS IND(1975 TO 2019)

Right from 1975 to 2019, England vs. India head-to-head, while England has won four out of eight matches, India has won three games. Out of eight games(1975-2019), one match was a tie between England and India in the 2011 World Cup.
