Trent Copeland after SA Tour

I was hoping in these matches, we would get one of Cameron Green or Marcus Stoinis  stick their head above water and say ‘you have to pick me’. I’d say it’s still Stoinis to go with a returning Glenn Maxwell with Mitchel Marsh as the all-rounders in that lineup,”. Trent Copeland told SEN1170 Breakfast.

There’s some alarming factors here. Josh Inglis is there as the reserve batter for the World Cup, but he’s also a backup wicketkeeper. He’s got another duck and hasn’t played as the reserve keeper a lot on tours. He misses all the domestic summer and hasn’t had a lot of cricket.

Trent Copeland further said that

Now he is the reserve batter; if anything goes wrong for Australia in the World Cup, …say Mitch Marsh gets injured, he’s the man relied upon to come in and make an impact,”. Trent Copeland said.

The Australian team has a ODI tour to India just before the start of the World Cup. This series would be helpful for the World Cup preparation.
