Shubman Gill can surpass Babar Azam in ICC ODI rankings

India batter, Shubman Gill is in the prime of his life as he is knocking hundred after hundred in international cricket and has increased his ratings in the ICC rankings as well.

Recently, in the Asia Cup, he scored 302 runs at an average of 75.50 in the tournament.

Additionally, his batting prowess has seen him reach 2nd place in the ICC ODI batter’s rankings.

He can easily surpass Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam if he plays well in the Australia series.

Notably, Gill’s performances helped India lift their 8th Asia Cup title and the 24-year-old is just 200 runs away.

Meanwhile, Gill’s current rating stands at 814 in the batters’ charts while Babar’s rating is 857.

Now, with the arrival of the India vs Australia series, Gill has a splendid chance of making it to the No.1 in the batter’s rankings if he performs well in all three games.

Therefore, he will be hoping that he gives good outings in all three games and scores valuable runs.

India-Australia series to kick off in Mohali tomorrow; good preparation for ICC ODI World Cup

On the other hand, India and Australia are sweating it out at Mohali to start their 3-match ODI series.

Additionally, both teams will also benefit from this series because it is important preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup, starting on the 5th of October.

Moreover, both these sides will meet once again on the 8th of October at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.
