Shoaib Akhtar: “I See there is no way that India should not be winning this World Cup”

Pakistan’s former ace pacer Shoaib Akhtar says I See there is no way that India should not be winning this World Cup. The 548-year-old cricketer also praised Virat Kohli.


One of the most prestigious events of cricket, the ODI World Cup 2023, is captured in India, with spectators desiring their nation to lift the cup. The Indian cricket team so far has been undefeatable in the World Cup, making their way to claim the 3rd title. Rohit Sharma and company have won all five matches. Their most recent win was against New Zealand by four wickets. Moreover, this win was a big hit for India to break the curse of 20 years. The Indian team not only continued their winning streak, but also trashed the undefeatable New Zealand. In addition, after a significant win against New Zealand, India is at the top of the table.

Shoaib Akhtar has always been vocal about his views on teams in the ongoing World Cup. Following India’s win, former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar expressed his views on India’s chances of winning the World Cup 2023. Shoaib Akhtar on his YouTube channel said that,

“Ek bowler missing the apka wo poora ho gya..Now, they have a complete bowling attack and now they have a complete batting unit, and plus you’re a good fielding side now you’re playing at the home ground you’re playing in India. I See there is no way that India should not be winning this World Cup”. Shoaib Akhtar further praised Virat Kohli and added,

“He is someone who thrives under pressure. Pressure brings opportunities for him. And opportunities are scoring a hundred, playing match-winning knocks and getting followed on Instagram, and why not! This guy deserves it”
