Shoaib Akhtar criticizes England for their “poor planning” during the India vs England.

Buttler Jos’s Although they are by no means favorites, England went into the 2023 World Cup as such. After losing to India by 100 runs for the fourth time in a row in the competition, the ‘defending champions’ chances of making the semifinals are none. And the former cricket player is doubting their current strategy.

Shoaib Akhtar Slams England for ‘Poor Planning’

Shoaib Akhtar, who has criticized England for their tactics, is the most recent to jump on the bandwagon. In a video that was in the microblogging platform X on Monday. Akhtar said that the fact that England is using the T20 formula to win 50-over matches is simply “poor planning.

“India have beaten England very badly,” Akhtar said on his YouTube channel. “England got defeated very badly. Because they are playing such a brand of cricket where they are bringing T20 cricket into ODIs. There is no planning on who will build an innings. Who will play at a run-a-ball, who will construct an innings and who will slog,” said Akhtar.

I am very sad to see England heading out of the World Cup. Bazball is fine in Test matches, but you have to play an ODI like an ODI,” he added.

Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah turn things around for India

Bumrah and Shami tore apart the English batting order with their amazing efforts. India’s seamers came to life and skittered England for only 129 runs. Despite their uncommon struggles at the bat, where they managed a meagre 229/9 on a dry turner. The comeback was evidence of both the bowlers’ skill and India’s tenacity.

With three league games remaining, England—who are struggling at the bottom of the points standings with just two wins and five losses—can only be saved by an extraordinary mathematical miracle.
