PCB forced to change preparation plans

“The passports were submitted as soon as the team returned home from the Asia Cup held in Sri Lanka. We have yet not receive the visas. The ICC has been apprised of the issue as this has made the PCB to change its plan of having a two-day team bonding camp in Dubai,”. A PCB official in the know of developments told The New Indian Express.

However, all the other eight teams’ visa works done successfully by the Indian management. As per the latest report, the Pakistan players will most likely complete all their travel work by Wednesday. The Pakistan team is coming to India after seven years for a multi-national tournament. The team came over for the World T20 Cup in 2016. Furthermore, the visa problems were there for the Pakistan Hockey team who came for the Asian Champions Trophy.  President Muhammad Khalid S Khokhar and a few other support staff including a team doctor and a physiotherapist did not join the team. It was due to the visa issues of the members.

PCB had to share the hosting of Asia Cup with the Sri Lankan Borad as BCCI were not ready to travel to Pakistan.
