Pakistan players grappling with viral infection ahead of Australia game

Before their all-important clash against Australia on the 20th of October, Pakistan is facing a severe problem.

According to reports, 4-5 Pakistani players have complained of having a viral chest infection and are being treated by doctors.

The list includes the names of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abdullah Shafique, Usama Mir, and Zaman Khan.

Meanwhile, as soon as Afridi caught the infection, he immediately sought medical help.

Similarly, Shafique also has a high fever and is under observation by the doctors. On the other hand, Zaman Khan and Usama Mir were also affected by the infection for five days.

However, Mir’s medical reports have all tested negative but he is still in quarantine because of precautionary measures.

Additionally, Pakistan’s media manager has also stated that all players are recovering well and will be well before the game.

Furthermore, Pakistan will be looking to win their next game against Australia at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Previously, they lost to arch-rivals India by seven wickets as they lost their way in the middle.

Pakistan will look to get back to winning ways against Australia

After being stable at 155/2 in 29.3 overs, it looked like the Men in Green would post a 300-plus target for India.

However, they lost all of their 8 wickets for just 26 runs and they couldn’t come back into the game at all.

Meanwhile, India chased down the target comfortably in 30.3 overs registered their 3rd win, and also went up the points table to grab the first spot.

India’s winning streak against Pakistan in ODI World Cups now stands at 8-0 and will continue to add more wins.

Now, after this loss, Pakistan is in 4th place with four points and two wins from three matches.
