MCC on Lords contreversy

“The actions of the three individuals in the Pavilion on the day in question fell well below the behaviour expected from our Members. The penalties set out above are the consequences of breaching the Club’s Code of Conduct,” an MCC statement read.

Furthermore, during the lunch break on the fifth day of the Lord’s Test, an altercation occurred between some MCC members and the Australian cricket team. However, this incident added to the already contentious series, sparked by the controversial stumping of Jonny Bairstow by Alex Carey. Emotions ran high in the Lord’s Long Room, where MCC members allegedly verbally confronted the Australian team. This led to a heated exchange of words between Usman Khawaja and David Warner and one particular member. Security personnel had to intervene, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.

Furthermore, the dismissal of Jonny Bairstow by Alex Carey lit up the Ashes hype a lot. The England crowd known to back their team did the same in this issue. England made a massive comeback after losing the Ashes and lost to get back the Ashes trophy.
