KL Rahul denied some singles to make sure Virat Kohli hits century in the World Cup game against Bangladesh.

KL Rahul on Virat Kohli’s century

“He [Kohli] was confused, he said it will not look too nice, not to take the single, it’s still a World Cup, and it’s still a big stage. ‘I don’t want to look like I am just trying to get the milestone’. But I said, I mean it is not won but still I think we’ll win quite easily. So if you can get to the milestone why not, you must try. And he did that in the end. I wasn’t going to run the singles anyway,”. KL Rahul told Star Sports.

Talking about the match, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. The Bangladesh openers had a great start. However, the Indian bowlers did well in the middle overs to get the team in a good position. Furthermore, the Bangladesh team put up 256 runs as a target on board. The Indian captain Rohit Sharma as usual gave a quick start. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli finished the things for the Indian team. On the way to winning the game for the team, Virat Kohli got his hundred.
