Ish Sodhi becomes the new victim for the non-striker end run out in the game.

Ish Sodhi comes to bat after run out

The non-striker end run out for Ish Sodhi happened in the 46th over of the first innings. The New Zealand team is in the tour to Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series. This way of dismissing the players has always made controversies among the players and fans. Ravi Ashwin who did the same against Jos Butler in the Indian Premier League always says the players to stay in the crease. Even MCC rules are in the favour of this way of dismissal.

It took place in the Afghanistan vs. Pakistan series in Sri Lanka. Fazalhaq Farooqi took off the bails while  Shadab Khan was on the nonstriker end. The Afghanistan team did not withdraw the review. Then Shadab Khan was given out by the umpires. However, Pakistan won the match due to Naseem Shah’s heroics in the end. But Bangladesh bowler Hasan Mahmud and his teammates made a U-turn in their decision. And they called back Ish Sodhi again to bat. The spin bowling allrounder took six wickets and also scored some vital runs for the team.
