Indian team does give a good start without playing the warmups

The Indian team had two warm up matches against England and the Netherlands ahead of the World Cup. India began their World Cup by beating the five time Champions Australia in Chennai.

Indian team won first two matches

The first Warm up match for India was against the defending champions England. It was called off due to rain. In the first warm up match Indian team won the toss and elect to bat first. However, the rains had other plans. Furthermore, the second match agiant the Netherlands also affected by rain in Thiruvananthapuram. The biggest cricketing event is to be played in 10 different cities in India.

The surprising fact about this World Cup in India is that this is the first World Cup for India as hosting solely. However, in 1987, 1996, and 2011 co hosted the World Cup with other countries. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said that they as a team do not worry about not playing the warm up matches. As they had a good preparation through the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka and The Australia series at home.

The Netherlands team did not play a One Day International game the  ICC World Cup Qualifier final against Sri Lanka.
