With the ODI World Cup now just a day away, let’s talk about the rankings of bowlers in the ICC charts.

Firstly, talking about pacers, India’s Mohammed Siraj has been a class apart in recent times. He occupied the No.1 position in ICC’s bowlers’ charts after his match-winning performance in the Asia Cup final.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Josh Hazelwood is also in prime form after overcoming his injuries and is currently tied on points with Siraj.

Moreover, the big-ticket event is going to be played in India where pitches generally favor spinners more than pacers.

Incidentally, Siraj was running ahead of Hazelwood in terms of ranking points till the 3rd ODI between India and Australia.

However, he gave away 68 runs in the last game and thus lost 11 points which cost him his spot.

On the other hand, Hazelwood was good in the game as he got 2/42 from 8 overs and gained some points.

Now, both pacers have a total of 669 ranking points and will look to topple each other for the numero uno spot.

Shaheen Afridi climbs up the rankings and displaces Mitchell Starc

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi has now climbed up to sixth place in the rankings after getting 632 points.

However, Aussie pacer, Mitchell Starc has dropped down to 8th place after getting 628 points in the ICC charts.

On the other hand, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi has toppled India’s Kuldeep Yadav to re-enter the top 10 rankings for bowlers.

But, Kuldeep has now got a fair chance to climb back into the top 10 if he delivers consistent performances throughout the tournament.

When we talk about the batters’ rankings, Pakistan’s Babar Azam is topping the list with 857 points.

India’s Shubman Gill is just 18 points behind him and is second on the list. Meanwhile, Australia’s David Warner is now in 4th place along with Ireland’s Harry Tector.

In the all-rounders section, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan still rules the roost.
