India will visit Sri Lanka in July 2024 for the ODI and T20 series

India will visit Sri Lanka in July 2024 for an upcoming white-ball series. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board announced the upcoming series between the nations.

In July 2024, the Indian cricket team will visit Sri Lanka for a T20 and ODI series. Following the T20 World Cup 2024, the two Asian countries will play three T20Is and ODIs in July-August. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board revealed their International cricket schedule for the upcoming year. They announced that Zimbabwe would visit the nation in January to kick off their home series. Due to government meddling, the International Cricket Council (ICC) banned SLC. Therefore, the U-19 World Cup moved to South Africa. Nonetheless, both the men’s and women’s national teams will be permitted to meet their bilateral duties.

India is scheduled to visit for three ODI and T20I matches each in July and August. The India visit is essentially the nation’s cricket season, according to the 2024 calendar that SLC issued. 52 international matches, comprising ten Tests, 21 ODIs, and 21 T20Is, are in schedule for the men’s national team in 2024. However, the extra games that they will play under the T20 World Cup are not taken into account by the T20Is.

India was unable to win as the powerful Australians defeated them in the Ahmedabad finals on their own soil. Following this, Virat Kohli’s status is still unclear as rumors circulated that he will only play in the two tests of the WTC. Moreover, the whispers were also about him missing the white-ball series against South Africa. Virat and Rohit Sharma had exceptional performances in the 2023 World Cup. While Virat scored 765 runs, Rohit achieved 596 runs in the 2023 World Cup. However, the selectors have not yet decided their future.
