A near perfect India will face a struggling England in their next match of ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on October 29 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With 5 wins in 5 matches, India will be aiming to be ruthless against three lions who are languishing at the bottom of the table.

However, at the start of the tournament nobody expected England to be at the bottom of the points table when they face India. But, the defending champions hasn’t look like their own-self till now. Team India will look to exploit the rather struggling English side and knock them out of the competition.

Team India faces some injury concerns

However, Team India also got a set-back in Bangladesh game in the form of Hardik Pandya. He twisted his ankle in attempt to stop the ball. At the moment it is suspected a tier-1 tear and he is ruled out of at least 2-3 games. He is surely out of the England game on 29th October. All the cricket fans hopes for Pandya’s speedy recovery as he is the most crucial member of the side.

With Hardik been ruled out of the game, a lot of questions surround around the playing XI. There is a lot of speculations of R. Ashwin been included in the side. But a lot will depend on the nature of the pitch in the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow. If the wicket is slow and dry then India can go with R. Ashwin else they can continue with Md. Shami.
