Is the Indian Cricket team still to qualify for the World Cup 2023 semifinals? The Indian team so far has won all six matches of the tournament.


The Indian cricket team defeated England by 100 runs on Sunday at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Moreover, triumphing all six games in a row, Indian men are topping the table. Their recent win was against England for the first time batting first. For the first time in the contest, India batted first and assembled a respectable 229/9 in fifty overs. On a challenging wicket, skipper Rohit Sharma was the top-scorer with 87 off 101 deliveries. In addition, Surya Kumar Yadav scored 49 runs. He was one run short of a half-century.

Talking of the World Cup 2023 semifinals, India would still have 12 points even if they lost their next three games. Their next three games are against Sri Lanka, South Africa, and the Netherlands. On Thursday, November 2, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India will play against Sri Lanka. India has to win in Mumbai to extend their winning streak to seven games. After the seventh win, India will officially qualify for the World Cup 2023 semifinals. Moreover, India will also go to the semifinals, even if their remaining group matches end in a draw.

After playing against Sri Lanka, India will play South Africa in Kolkata on November 5. After a week-long break, their last match of the World Cup is against the Netherlands. India will face the Netherlands in Bengaluru on November 12.

The first semifinal of the World Cup 2023 is on November 15 in Mumbai, between table toppers and fourth team on the points table. Moreover, November 16 in Kolkata will be the second semifinal between second and third-positioned teams in the points table. The final of the World Cup 2023 is on November 19 in Ahmedabad.
