India’s rising star, Shubman Gill has made a good climb in the ICC ODI rankings after his brilliant innings against Nepal.

After sharing points with Pakistan, India geared up for the Nepal challenge and they won it quite easily.

Additionally, India reduced Nepal to 230 in the first innings and required 231 runs to win the game.

However, rain played havoc in the game with it being reduced to 23 overs and India requiring 145 runs to win.

Furthermore, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have given India a 10-wicket morale-boosting victory.

That’s why, after his knock, Gill has climbed up to No.3 in the batter’s rankings in ODIs.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Babar Azam sits at No.1 in the rankings. Gill’s current position is the highest for any Indian player in recent times.

Ishan Kishan also breaks into the top 25 in the ODI batter rankings

In some more good news, middle-order batter, Ishan Kishan has also broken into the top 25 after his innings against Pakistan.

Kishan scored 82 runs from 81 balls in that game which helped India get back on track in the game.

He is currently holding the 24th position in the batter’s rankings in the ODIs and will look to climb further in the rankings.

Meanwhile, India will look to defeat Pakistan once again after they meet on the 10th of September in Colombo.
