Table-toppers India are followed by South Africa, New Zealand and Australia in the top-four at the moment. But a number of teams are trying to upset the statusquo and sneak their way into the semifinal of Cricket World Cup.

Apart from defending champions, England and Bangladesh all 8 teams are in the hunt for the semi-final spots. However, India and South Africa almost looks certain to seal their spot in the top-4 of cricket World Cup. The fight is on for the rest of two spots. Although, England and Bangladesh will also have something to play for in the remaining matches of World Cup, the qualification for the Champions Trophy 2025. The top-8 teams directly qualifies for the tournament, so they have to finish in top-8 to secure their spot.

Pakistan after their triumph against Bangladesh, would hope that South-Africa beats New Zealand. Then the game between Pakistan and New-Zealand will become virtual eliminator. Pakistan would also hope that Afghanistan also losses their games. And vice-versa for Afghanistan. So, the calculators are out for the fans of these teams. We will definitely have some interesting games in the coming weeks of cricket World Cup 2023. However, it will be interesting who will make into those top-4 spots.
