Renowned for his unwavering support for the Pakistan cricket team, Basheer, affectionately known as “Chacha” (uncle). The biggest fan found himself in a unique situation at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) recently. Basheer, who also happens to hold US citizenship. He had arrived to extend a warm welcome to the Pakistan cricket team as they prepared for their ICC Cricket World Cup warm-up match.

As the clock ticked toward 8 pm, the Pakistan team emerged from the airport terminal to a heartwarming reception from their devoted fans. In the midst of the jubilant crowd stood Basheer, brimming with excitement at the sight of his cherished Men in Green. Furthermore with enthusiasm, he proudly waved the Pakistan national flag to express his unwavering support.

The RGIA police detained Basheer Chacha momentarily upon noticing him waving the flag, but he cooperated. Basheer clarifies his identity as a devotee of Pakistan cricket fans visiting India for the match. And presented his travel documents and identity cards, which helped resolve the situation.

Furthermore, Pakistan players including their captain were happy to recive the warm welcome. Mohammed Rizwan said that ” It was like the Airport of Lahore or Karachi in Pakistan”. However, Pakistan lost the first warm up match against New Zealand. Their primary pacer Naseem Shah is unavilable for the World Cup. It is most likely Hasan Ali will replace him in the playing eleven.
