Senior India allrounder, Ravichandran Ashwin is getting himself in the groove ahead of the much-awaited India vs Australia series.

Both teams take on each other at Mohali’s IS Bindra Stadium on the 22nd of September.

Recently, Ashwin has been bowling at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for this series.

Before the series, he will also be participating in a 50-over game to better equip himself for the ODI series.

The series for which Ashwin will be playing is the VAP Trophy where he will be a part of Take Solution MRPA against Young Stars.

Moreover, one of TNCA’s officials has come forward to give an update on Ashwin playing in the game.

He wants to spend some time on the ground, and a 50-over game will provide him with that opportunity. He recently visited the NCA for routine maintenance work on his body and to hone his skills under the guidance of spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule. He’s determined to prepare himself comprehensively for any and all challenges.

Ashwin has played only two ODIs in the last six years

Apparently, Ashwin has played only two ODIs in the last six years and this practice game can give him much-needed rhythm to get back in the 50-over format.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is meeting up tomorrow at Chandigarh before they start off for Mohali.

Furthermore, Ashwin is getting himself in full preparation mode for this all-important series.

Moreover, India and Australia will start off their ODI World Cup campaigns against each other once again on the 8th of October in Chennai.
