Amol Muzumdar, the new head coach for India’s women’s team

The Board of Control of Cricket in India appoints Amol Muzumdar as head for Indian women’s team.

” I am deeply honoured and privileged to be appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team. I thank the CAC and the BCCI for placing their trust in me. And believing in my vision and the roadmap for Team India.” Amol Muzumdar said

The new head coach of Indian team further said that

“This is a huge responsibility and I look forward to working closely with talented players. And providing them with the right preparation and guidance to excel. The next two years are extremely important as two World Cups are in scheduled in the period. Together with the coaching and support staff. We will look to tick every box and give ourselves the best chance to succeed.”. Amol Muzumdar said

Muzumdar, with prior coaching experience with national teams such as South Africa and a stint with the Rajasthan Royals, also served as the head coach for the Mumbai Ranji team until the 2022–2023 domestic season. This came in addition to his multiple Ranji Trophy titles with Mumbai and subsequent representation of Assam and Andhra Pradesh.
