Pakistan’s young mystery spinner, Abrar Ahmed is sitting in contention to get a spot in his team’s ODI World Cup squad.

Moreover, the marquee event is all set to start in India on the 5th of October, ending on 19th November.

Furthermore, Pakistan is going to face the Netherlands on the 6th of October at Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, Abrar is in contention to get a spot because of the poor show given by Shadab Khan recently.

Yesterday, a meeting between Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam and the national selection committee took place to discuss and finalize the ODI World Cup squad.

Furthermore, the selection committee has decided to keep the core players of the Asia Cup in the squad.

However, they will still make a few changes to the roster that will then give a well-formed squad.

For this, Babar Azam and Chief Selector, Inzamam-ul-Haq were due to meet with the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board management committee, Zaka Ashraf.

Moreover, what Ashraf decides will be final and valid for the squad.

Naseem Shah is not going to be a part of the World Cup

With all the meetings and discussions done and dusted, the squad for Pakistan will be announced soon.

Moreover, the players’ fitness levels have also been given due consideration by the selection committee.

While Naseem Shah is going to sit out of the entire World Cup, the likes of Zaman Khan, Shahnawaz Dahani, Hasan Ali, and Arshad Iqbal may get a place in the team.

Meanwhile, Haris Rauf who got a side strain during the Asia Cup will most likely recover soon before the event.

Also, Imam-ul-Haq and Agha Salman are also on the road to recovery and will be available for selection soon.
