India’s former cricketer, Aakash Chopra took to his YouTube channel to give heartfelt praise to Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav.

Starting off, he praised Shreyas Iyer who was fantastic in the 2nd ODI against Australia at Indore. Iyer scored 105 from 90 deliveries and won applause.

Moreover, he also went on to win the Player of the Match for his splendid performance in the game.

Meanwhile, India has taken a 2-0 lead in the series and will look to crush Australia in the 3rd ODI tomorrow as well.

On the other hand, Chopra stated that while Shreyas certainly looked under pressure at the start, he batted rather fluently throughout the game.

Chopra was especially very happy to see Iyer playing all the different shots in the game and praised him for that.

He was under pressure. But the team was convinced that Shreyas is our main player and we are going to stick with him. The way he hit a shot over covers at the start and then played those drives, he was brilliant. He was in total control.

Additionally, Chopra also commented that Iyer was at his absolute best in the game and didn’t allow the Aussie bowlers any opportunity to dismiss him.

He also formed a match-winning partnership with opener Shubman Gill who also scored a ton in the game.

It was not like there were edges or catches were being dropped. There was nothing of that sort. He batted very well. For some time at the start, it seemed like Shreyas Iyer was Shubman Gill and Shubman Gill is Shreyas Iyer, who is coming back from injury.

Chopra nicknames Suryakumar Yadav as ‘Sixer Kumar Yadav’

Moving on, Chopra also praised Suryakumar Yadav who was excellent towards the end for India as he smashed 72 from 37 balls.

His innings included six fours and six sixes and was a breathtaking one for the fans.

Meanwhile, Chopra has now decided to call SKY Sixer Kumar Yadav instead of his real Suryakumar.

I am not going to call him Suryakumar Yadav, but Sixer Kumar Yadav. He hit so many sixes. Everyone was saying, go Green. He said we need to go Green near the boundary line. It was an amazing innings. He is a 360-degree player and has validated the management’s decision to back him for the World Cup. This is something to admire.
